Writing Winnie The Pooh

Play as Winnie the Pooh and his friends. Uses a stardard 52 card deck.

The game was originally going to use the gameplay of Alone Among the Stars but it ended up going in a slightly different direction.

Example of Play

Our first draw is a 10 of Spades which means we get four more cards.

We get 4 of Clubs, 9 of Clubs, 9 of Spades, and 7 of Spades. We decide to use one of the 9s for the problem which is a natural disaster. For location we pick the 7 for grassy clearing. Finally we use the 4 and last 9 for Rabbit and Owl.

II. IN WHICH POOH INVESTIGATES ICE

Pooh walked into the clearing to see Rabbit cowering next to a rock. He noticed the ground is covered in small balls of ice. "Rabbit did you spill ice cubes all over the ground," asked the bear.

Rabbit ran over to Pooh and pulled him down so their faces were next to each other. "The clouds fell!"

Pooh considered the ice balls. "Christopher Robins talks about his refrigerator making ice by pushing a button. Maybe the ice flew out over here."

Christopher Robins arrived. They told him about the ice. "Ice forms on ponds," said Christopher Robins. They noded in agreement. "If it fell from the sky it must have come from somewhere. Maybe a lake on the moon." The three of them looked into the sky for the moon but didn't find it. "Maybe it is hidden behind a cloud?"

Owl landed next to them. Again they described the ice. Owl shook his head. "It is called hail. It's perfectly natural but not common. Looks like you lucked out. Larger hailstones can hurt if they hit you."

"That's too bad," said Pooh. "I was hoping some honey might fall from the moon as well."
